Stader House Bed & Breakfast

This Refund Policy explains how refunds, credits, cancellations, and no-shows are handled for stays at Stader House Bed & Breakfast in Vine Grove, Kentucky.

1) Current Booking & Payment Method
At this time, Stader House does not accept online payments or process reservations through an online booking platform on our website. Reservations and payments are arranged directly with us (typically by phone, email, or in person).
If we add online booking and/or online payment processing in the future, we will update this policy and may include additional terms for payments handled through third-party providers.

2) Deposits (If Applicable)
Some reservations may require a deposit to hold dates, especially during peak seasons or special events. If a deposit is required, the amount and due date will be communicated at the time of booking.

Unless otherwise stated in writing at the time of booking:

Deposits are refundable when a cancellation is made at least 48 hours before check-in.

Deposits may be partially refundable or non-refundable for special event weekends or discounted/promotional rates, if disclosed at booking.

3) Cancellations and Refund Eligibility
Unless a different policy is provided in writing for a specific reservation:

Cancel 48+ hours before check-in: Eligible for a refund of any deposit paid (minus any non-refundable processing fees, if applicable).

Cancel within 48 hours of check-in: A cancellation fee may apply up to one night’s stay, and any deposit may be forfeited.

No-shows: Treated as a late cancellation and may be charged up to one night’s stay, and/or deposit forfeiture.

Early departures: Refunds are not guaranteed and are handled case-by-case.

4) Refund Method and Timing
When a refund is approved:

Refunds are issued to the original form of payment whenever possible.

If payment was made by cash, refunds may be issued by cash or check (at our discretion).

Please allow a reasonable processing period for refunds to be completed.

5) Changes to Reservations
If you need to change dates, contact us as soon as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes based on availability. Any difference in rates or minimum-stay requirements may apply.

6) Circumstances Beyond Our Control
For events such as severe weather, natural disasters, utility outages, travel disruptions, or other circumstances outside our control, refunds or credits may be offered on a case-by-case basis. When appropriate, we may offer:

A credit toward a future stay, or
-
A partial refund depending on the situation and costs already incurred

7) Third-Party Booking Platforms (Future Use)
If Stader House begins using third-party booking platforms in the future, reservations made through those platforms may be subject to the platform’s payment terms and refund rules. In those cases, the platform’s policy may apply in addition to (or instead of) this one.
